Transferring past appraisals

How to transfer your past appraisals into Improval regardless of which system you use.

Moving to Improval is easy. You can import your previous appraisals from another appraisal toolkit in just a few clicks, without having to enter everything again, and for free.

Simply upload your previous appraisal PDF and Improval will automatically recognise your old toolkit and import your information for you.

New to Improval?

If you haven't registered yet, you can transfer your appraisal as part of getting started.
  1. Visit app.improval.com/transfer
  2. Upload the PDF summary of your most recent appraisal.
  3. That's it! Improval will recognise your previous toolkit, extract your information and help you get started.

Already have an Improval account?

You can import previous appraisals at any time.
  1. Open the Appraisal page.
  2. Select Past appraisals.
  3. Click Add past appraisal and upload your appraisal PDF.
Improval will automatically recognise the toolkit your appraisal came from and import the information.

What information gets transferred?

Improval does much more than simply store a copy of your old appraisal. It extracts the information so you can continue using it within Improval.
This includes:
  • Personal and professional details, including your roles.
  • CPD and supporting information, including your previous learning and reflections.
  • Personal Development Plan (PDP) goals.
  • Previous appraisal details and supporting documentation.
You can upload as many previous appraisals as you like, giving you a complete history of your appraisals in one place.

Will I lose access to my past appraisals if I cancel my subscription?

No. Your past appraisals will always be available to you, regardless of whether you have an active Improval subscription.

We believe your appraisal history belongs to you, and you should always be able to access it.

Need a hand?

We support the common appraisal toolkit PDF formats, but occasionally a document may not be recognised.
If you have any problems transferring your appraisals, or anything isn't clear, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We're always happy to help and will make sure everything gets transferred for you.
